This is “Petey”, a Wild Ring-Necked Pheasant. He warmed up to me over the winter, following the skid steer everywhere, and now me, and allowing me to pick him up. It is rare to find this pheasant at my location in Saskatchewan, but there is a bunch of them around. I hope they survive and nest here. The most beautiful bird I’ve ever seen.
